Hi!!! She is soooo amazing!!

Time for your not-so-regularly scheduled sailing post
This totally makes me miss sailing... you know you've got a good one when it starts off with the trapezer getting teabagged.
Hee, I think all of those have happened to me at least once... minus the snow, since I sail in Vancouver. XD But those boats are a BITCH to bring back up, especially when you're not that heavy. And a bitch to steer when you have a wake like at about 2:05.
XD domino capsizes at 3:15. And I love how the extra drumbeat punctuates the water plume at about 4:06.
This for general humour. I watched it a couple times and then suddenly just LOST it and couldn't stop laughing. WHEEEE!

Found my mom crying in the bathroom. She claimed she had been cutting onions, funny though that there weren't any in the dinner... As upset as she was she went on doing some dishes and suddenly cried out again. She had cut the inside of her right hand right under the thumb with a broken teaglass. It bled heavily and the cut is pretty deep and I'm convinced it needs stiches but my mom refuses to go to the hospital right now. So I just bandaged her hand and left her.
I know it's all pretty hard on her. Me leaving the house. As a consequence she'll have to sell the house sometime soon too, because she can't sustain it all on her own. Just a few days ago she bought heating oil and she's pretty much bankrupt for the next two months now.
But selling the house it's hard on her too because the house is a heritage of her parents. The psycho-hospital right next to us has shown interest in our property but they don't want to pay enough money.
She also has told turkeyboy that he'll have to leave aswell because she can't allow herself anymore to fed him. He is pissed of course.
So I'm sitting here almost having a guilty conscience just because I want to live on my own. Well, I'm 33, I think it's about bloody time to stand on my own feet, don't you think?
And yet mom is downstairs feeling miserably because she is forced to let go and maybe she's also afraid of being alone.
But I just can't help it...

Thank you for getting my community suspended, I greatly appreciate it. Now I don't have to spend so much time combing through every profile for every person who tries to join, because clearly that didn't do any good. I know who you are and I am glad you ruined that community because I was tired of it anyway.

Yes, I have one.
A son I put my career and life on hold for.
Not that I get any points for my sacrifice, he doesn't call or stop by for a visit, unless you count that one time he "faded" in for a bit.
How hard is it for someone who can move through time and space to have an occasional meal with his mother? And what kind of job is a Traveler anyway?
Don't get me started about his personal life. How does he expect to find a nice girl unless he settles in one dimension for more than a week?
Then there's his friends, a nice but odd group of Aliens whose mother's I'm sure are less than thrilled with their choices.
Maybe "Mr smarter than anybody else on the ship" could take a minute out of his very busy day to let me know that he's alive.
Is that too much to ask?

Kate Mulgrew at Star Trek 2008 Thanksgiving Celebration
Kate Mulgrew will be the special guest star at Star Trek 2008 Thanksgiving celebration at Pheasant Run Resort Mega Center in Charles, IL (near Chicago). The convention runs Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 28 - 30, 2008). The convention's website is scheduled to be on-line by the end of May 2008. Entertainment Weekly's Review of "Faith"
It has some nice observations about A/R, Kara, and everyone else.
I will say it this once, and let it go. The fact that Mary McDonnell has never been nominated for her work on Battlestar Galactica is enough to invalidate the Emmys.
If you don't want to read the whole thing ( The reviewer's an AR fan. lolz. )

My esteemed colleague flamingo55 and I felt compelled to write our own version of a certain cut scene, and we present it here for your reading enjoyment. ;D

Summary: Kara's Viper needs testing, but there's only one pilot the Admiral will trust to do it. The President, for her part, is initially unconvinced.
